Do you have the sound/TV recording of the conference clipping during the announcement of the cancellation? Even, those in the korean newspaper pointing to the order of their action. If there is one, please post in on the board. It might be helpful to us.

sorry for keeping you waiting, but we were waiting for updates too.

To complete our last reports:

1. As far as we know all choirs left Korea (except for the singers who are still on own-organised tours).

2. We were looking for a sound/TV recording of the conference but it seems like there is non.

3. There was an official meeting among the korean organisers and INTERKULTUR. You can read the memo here.

4. We are still waiting for a statement from the goverment.

We'll let you know immediately if we have updates.

Best regards

Good news!

Finally we got the official declaration of the cancellation of the World Choir Championships from the goverment of the province Gyeongnam. This declaration signed by President Günter Titsch on 13th July reached the German INTERKULTUR office on 1st September 2009 now bearing the signature of governor Tae-ho Kim. The organisation partners declared in this document the cancellation of the World Choir Championships due to several swine flu cases that occurred as an act of God. We're sorry to say that till this day no extensive statement is existing.
